The Alva Golf & Country Club is a 9-hole course located in northwest Oklahoma. Opened on April 29, 1956, this Floyd Farley designed golf course features lush, tree-lined fairways, practice greens and 3,282 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 36. Rent a golf cart and enjoy a day of golf amidst the surrounding scenery. The Alva Golf & Country Club also offers a pro shop located on-site.

Housed in an old vintage, 1932 hospital building, the Cherokee Strip Museum boasts one of the best collections of pioneer exhibits and Indian art and artifacts in the state. Alva Regional Airport & Aviation Museum

The Alva Regional Airport Museum showcases local aviation history while providing a glimpse into the city's unique past. Located within the Alva Regional Airport terminal just south of Alva, this museum features artifacts from the area's flight and air history, as well as special exhibits on the WWII prisoner of war camp formerly located in Alva. Other exhibits include photographs from the late 1930s and '40s, WWII air artifacts, airplane parts, many photos of early-day planes and pilots from the region, as well as other historical aspects of the town.
Bud Rose Park

Bud Rose Memorial Park is a community green space located between Park and Meno Streets in the eastern part of Alva, just north of the Public Works Department. Named after local resident and former Woods County Sheriff Albert Lee "Bud" Rose, the park is primarily a grassy open area serving the neighborhood.
Museum of Natural History at NWOSU

The NWOSU Museum of Natural History, established in 1902, is the second-oldest museum in Oklahoma. Located on the second floor of the Jesse Dunn building at Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva, it features extensive collections of fossils, geological specimens, and preserved wildlife, including more than 20 mounted eagles.
Waynoka Air-Rail & Harvey House Museum

This 1910 Harvey House and Santa Fe Depot complex houses the Waynoka Air Rail Museum and gift shop. The Waynoka Air Rail Museum is located on the BNSF main line with 50 to 100 trains passing through daily. Exhibits here feature the Transcontinental Air Transport (forerunner of TWA), Santa Fe Railroad, Fred Harvey and artwork. Feast your eyes on a large model railroad, static diesel locomotive, foreman's house and display featuring Curtis Hill. These buildings appear on the National Register of Historic Places.
